A new mother, a litter of 8, a busy road, people who do not care, cars who zoom past..life could not be more dreadful for these poor souls on the streets of Delhi. But it does get worse, mother gets run over by a speeding car and the litter roam aimlessly on the road looking for her, wanting their feed and their mothers love. And they too become victims of the speeding traffic.
An animal lover’s car screeched to a halt when she realised that there were some puppies almost under the wheels of her car. And she found 3 of them, while looking around for their mother and to get these pups to safety or put them on the side of the road, she was told the sad story of how the mother had been run over a few hours ago and the MCD van had picked up the body to dispose off. She picked up these puppies and brought them to Dr. Choudhary’s clinic, post which they were vaccinated and dewormed and medically checked and put in various foster homes. Of the litter of 8, we lost 1 pup, 2 are adopted in Delhi, 3 are off to a foster home in New Jersey, while Bow and Tyler wait in Delhi for their forever homes.
About the puppies:
The pups live with a family and their 2 kids and an adult dog in a farmhouse in Delhi. While both of them are extremely fond of each other and cuddle and sleep together, their foster home feels that their individual personality may benefit if they live separately
Bow is a happy dog, friendly but can be a bit jumpy at times (which is not unusual for her age). She will be a fast learner and is the more compliant one. Comes when called and is able to walk on a leash.
Happy dog, friendly, loves cuddles. Toilets more often at night than Bow, but not unusual for age. Comes when calls, but can be stubborn. Able to walk with a lead
