Daphne is a beautiful and jovial senior Retriever girl. Life has not been very kind to her. She belonged to a very well to do and influential family. She must have considered her owner as her family but may be that was not the other way round. Daphne was abandoned after spending 10 years of her life with her owner. Reason? Well in his own words,” Since my kids have grown up and moved out of the house, I can’t take care of her.” Saying this, he just dumped her at Dr. Choudhary’s clinic. When the Drs. tried to counsel him, he simply and nonchalantly asked them to put her to sleep. Considering the whole situation, Drs. Choudhary decided to keep her at one of the most caring and loving foster homes.

When Daphne reached the foster home, she was badly tick infested and stiff because of arthritis, lack of exercise and years of neglect. After spending almost a month at the foster home, today, Daphne is a beautiful, fluffy and the most social dog. She is enjoying the newfound youth and basking in the glory of freedom, attention and hugs that she gets from all the visitors. All the other dogs in the foster care are her new friends and she is very easy going with everyone. She loves playing with her fellow inmates and truly enjoys her grooming sessions. Due to old age, Daphne cannot climb stairs but totally relishes the garden sprinkler. Now, Daphne is eagerly waiting for life to give her a second chance and find a loving family which she can call her own, where she can live happily ever after.
