Life for the stray pups is hardly a pleasure. Something similar happened with Moti as well. Moti’s foster mom got to know about him when he was a small pup living on a busy suburban road of Delhi. A Municipality van picked up his mother for spaying leaving the litter helpless and vulnerable. His foster mom took care of the litter, fed and vaccinated them from time to time. When the mother returned post the surgery, she didn’t come alone. She was carrying the deadly distemper disease that eventually affected all the pups. Despite all the desperate efforts by his foster mom, only Moti could survive the dreadful infection but lost his mother and siblings.

Moti was taken to the foster care and just when things were becoming normal, he got ran over by a car and broke his femur due to which his distemper flared up again. After a terrible struggle of 2-3 days, Moti fought the infection and an elderly gentleman came forward and offered to take care of him as long as his age allowed. Moti lived happily with him for two years but now he is unable to take care of Moti as he himself has problems dealing with the old age. Moti is now back to the foster home and his foster mom is trying to get him back into shape as he was slightly undernourished.

Even after going through so much in life, Moti is still a happy go lucky chap who enjoys his freedom and is very playful with his fellow housemates. He has been spayed a month ago. We really wish Moti should get the life he deserves after so much of pain in life.
