Teenie needs a change of name soon, she is no longer the tiny pup that she was when she was named, she is a BIG, Super Strong, very athletic and would make a great companion dog for outdoor activities.

Neutered: May 2012

Teenie was part of a litter of 4, born in a drain. Her mother, was a well fed dog and gave birth to 4 healthy puppies. But living in a drain, though safe from traffic has its own issues. One of the pups developed a serious maggot infestation, by the time treatment was started it was too late. Seeing the fate of this little one, a dog lover nearby, took the other 3 pups in, hoping to find them homes through AAIDD. They were 3 weeks then. She would let their mother come in to feed them. One morning, a few days later, she heard the mother crying in pain from inside a drain. She managed to get some help and send her to a shelter nearby, but a couple of days later she died. It is believed that someone may have beaten her due to which she developed some spinal problems.

In the meanwhile, the 3 pups continued to grow well and recover from their minor health problems. The girl was named Teenie as she was the tiny one, and the 2 boys were named Yogi and Zorro. Yogi and Zorro, are both adopted in California.

I met Teenie and her siblings, when they were approx 4 weeks old, at their foster home. Little Teenie was a brave and adventurous soul, she’s always climb out of her crate to greet me. She took a fancy to my shoe laces and would sit patiently at my feet chewing away at them.

As they were growing bigger and older, their foster home was unable to accomodate them, and they were shifted to another foster home which was a farmhouse. With the space and love of foster SUPERMUM Liz, Teenie grew really fast. She had many friends around. Soon her brothers were adopted and went off to their forever homes.

With SUPERMUM LIZ leaving Delhi soon,  Teenie has been moved to another foster home. She has quickly adjusted to her new home and her new friends. Clearly she is stronger than the rest but she is also very accomodating with the smaller pups, giving them their space.

Teenie loves to run, loves the outdoors, and is an extremely fast runner. We hope she can find her forever family soon!!
